Questions people ask
Short, honest answers to what people want to know before they book, during treatment and after.
Booking and your visit
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly. If your insurer asks for a referral, we can help you get one.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually within two or three days. Early mornings and lunchtimes are the easiest to find.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable you can move in. Shorts for knee and hip problems, a vest top for shoulders.
Can I cancel or move my time?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before. Later than that we charge half the fee.
Treatment
How many sessions will I need?
Most people feel a clear change within three or four visits. We give you an honest estimate at the first one.
Will it hurt?
Some techniques are uncomfortable for a moment, never more than you agree to. Tell us and we stop.
Do I see the same physiotherapist every time?
Yes. The person who assesses you stays with you until you are discharged.
What happens between visits?
You get three or four exercises, filmed on your phone, and can message us if something feels wrong.
Insurance and payment
Will my insurance cover it?
We bill most insurers directly, so you only pay your excess on the day.
Can my employer pay?
Often, yes. If your occupational health plan covers physiotherapy, we send the invoice straight to them.
How do I pay if I am not insured?
By card at the end of each visit. The receipt arrives in your email.
Classes
Can I join a class without being a patient?
Yes. We ask a few questions about injuries before your first class, that is all.
Can I bring my baby to postnatal strength?
Please do. Babies stay on the mat beside you, and nobody minds a feed or a nap.
How long is a class card valid?
Six months from your first class. Pause it if you are ill or travelling.
