Book dry needling
A birch tray with fine needles, a folded cloth and a small ceramic dish

Good for

  • Knots that massage cannot shift
  • Tension headaches
  • Long standing neck and shoulder pain
  • Tight hips and glutes

What happens

We find the tight band in the muscle by hand, then place a fine, single use needle into it for a few seconds. Most sessions use between four and ten needles, followed by gentle movement and stretching.

How it feels

You barely feel the needle go in. When it reaches the trigger point, the muscle can twitch or ache briefly, which is a good sign. The area may feel heavy for a day.

Is it for me

We only suggest needling when it will help, and you can always say no. It is not used during pregnancy or if you are afraid of needles.
